Registration Information for Ohio
In Ohio you can register to vote by mail or in person at your elections office. To be eligible to vote in the state of Ohio you must be a U.S. citizen, a resident of your precinct you wish to vote in for at least 30 days, and be at least 18 years old. You are not eligible to vote in Ohio of you have been permanently disenfranchise for violating election laws, you are incarcerated for a felony conviction, or if you have been declared incompetent for voting by a probate court. To register to vote you must provide the following: the last four digits of your Social Security Number and an Ohio Driver's License Number. If you are unable to provide these forms of identification you can provide a copy of any of the following: current and valid photo ID, a government issued document, a utility bill dated within one year, valid Military ID, bank statement, or a paycheck that shows a current name and address. To vote in Ohio you must show a valid ID. The sames forms of ID used to register in the state of Ohio will suffice this requirement.

You can vote early in the state of Ohio starting 29 days before Election Day in the form of an absentee ballot. Contact your local board of elections to receive more information about absentee voting.
